The National Security Council decided that antiques and brocant markets can restart under strict conditions (since 8 June). One of the most important conditions, however, is that the number of exhibitors is limited to a maximum of 50, and the number of visitors is limited to 200. This would be detrimental to our market, where every week 254 permanent exhibitors and about 60 separate exhibitors form the backdrop.
In consultation with the local security cell and the antiques and brocant market committee, the city council therefore decided not to allow the market to continue until new flexibilities had been introduced that would allow the market to take place fully and safely.
After all, the safety of exhibitors and visitors always remains a priority.
